Unlicensed engineer


Job Description

The unlicensed engineer will work in a team that is responsible for the maintenance (line/base) of the helicopters. The unlicensed engineer will assist the certifying staff and will, at all times, work under their supervision. He/she reports to the Chief Engineer of the base.

RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN RESULT AREAS 

Line Maintenance

  • Basic tasks in Line Maintenance, in compliance with the requirements as described in the regulations: refueling, towing, baggage loading and other line activities;
  • Ensure that all these line maintenance tasks carried out to helicopters meet the standard of the BCAA/EASA and M.O.E. instructions;
  • Ensure that all maintenance is completed within the appropriate time scales to ensure provision of a serviceable aircraft to meet the operational need;
  • Assist the licensed engineers in trouble shooting;
  • Assist the licensed engineers in correct handling of maintenance tasks – final check to be done by the licensed engineers.
  • Ensure, in cooperation with NHV Supply Chain, Store that the necessary maintenance material & spare parts are present on site at the planned moment: material in service car, consumables, limited service stock, work material, material needed for normal day-to-day line maintenance, exceptional material supplied for exceptional line maintenance or small repair tasks;
  • Report daily to the licensed engineer on completion of tasks.

Base Maintenance 

  • Comply with the requirements as described in the regulations;
  • Ensure that all maintenance tasks carried out to helicopters meet the standard of the BCAA/EASA and M.O.E. instructions;
  • Ensure that all maintenance is completed within the appropriate time scales to ensure provision of serviceable aircraft to meet the operational need;
  • Ensure, in cooperation with NHV Supply Chain, Store & MCC that the necessary maintenance material & spare parts are present on site at the planned moment.

Your Profile

EXPERIENCE 

  • Recognized apprenticeship – practical experience in maintenance in either line or base maintenance (preferably on helicopters) is a must
SKILLS
  • ICT-literate (specific aviation software & MS Office)
  • Languages: Dutch and English: professional level (understanding, speaking, writing
  • Easy in learning new procedures & processes (operational, quality, safety, ...) installed by the company
  • Motivated to study to obtain the right experience and knowledge in helicopter maintenance
  • Solution finder but with eye for detail and taking into account all regulations and procedures
  • You are good in clear and effective communication. You're flexible and have a positive mindset
