Maintenance/Production Planner


Job Description

Your main responsibility as the Maintenance Planner / Production Planner is to perform effective and efficient long, mid-term base maintenance planning and short term production planning tasks as per defined process for the allocated fleet of aircraft. On a daily base you will be reporting to the Chief Engineer. You will also report functionally to the Nominated Person CAMO for the Belgian AOC and the Part-145 Maintenance Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN RESULT AREAS

MAINTENANCE & PRODUCTION PLANNING

  • Development of robust long and mid-term base maintenance planning for the allocated fleet of aircraft
  • Coordination of base maintenance slots between the operational bases and base maintenance facility
  • Creating work packs content in coordination with assigned Type Engineer and local Chief Engineer in a timely manner as per defined process.
  • Review of the work pack for execution including timely placement of the spare orders and tooling to allowing supply chain to fulfil all requisitions before commencement of the check and review of required manpower taking into account qualifications needed.
  • Communicate closely with the Chief Engineer, and highlight any shortcomings as early as possible.
  • Assist the Engineers team in completion of daily status update of ongoing maintenance inspections.
  • Assist the Engineers team in verification of completed documentation of ongoing maintenance inspections, and updating of electronic systems.
  • Analysing the commercial schedule and the fleet utilization and propose necessary adjustments to the plan.
  • Report the progress status to the CAMO Manager and Maintenance Manager in a timely manner
  • Suggest improvements to the established process and system in a pro-active manner. Seek for continuous improvement and standardization.

ADDITIONAL AIRWORTHINESS TASKS

  • Follow up and support the Maintenance Information System update during and post maintenance check
  • Act as focal point for PART-M organization at the local base

Your Profile

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft engineering and maintenance planning preferably in helicopters operation environment
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering (aviation) or equivalent through experience

SKILLS

  • ICT literate (specific aviation software & MS Office, Rusada Envision or similar)
  • Languages: English (professional level) – French (professional level)
  • Knowing and playing by the procedures & processes (operational, quality, safety,) installed by the company
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
