Production Planner

Job Description

The production planner is responsible for the efficient planning and performance monitoring of base maintenance. He/she reports to the Chief engineer of the base.


    • Ensure accurate planning of upcoming base maintenance inspections, and the subsequent compilation of applicable work order
    • Process requisitions through to completion, with purchasing, logistical and reception overview
    • Ensure in cooperation with support departments (Supply Chain, Store, Tooling, Logistics…) that the necessary maintenance materials & spare parts are present in the necessary quantity/condition at the planned moment, for optimum efficiency.
    • Communicate closely with Chief Engineer, and highlight any shortcomings as early as possible
    • Assist engineers team in completion of daily status update of ongoing maintenance inspections.
    • Assist engineers team in verification of completed documentation of ongoing maintenance inspections, and updating of electronic systems.
    • Supply chain monitoring of suppliers and regular consignment stock checks at supplier ensuring KPI’s are met
    • KPI recording of maintenance tasks and lean improvement processes.
    • Purchasing responsibility for work packs and general stock
    • Storekeeping

Your Profile
    • Familiarity with base maintenance processes and objectives
    • Familiarity with aviation specific software (Rusada an advantage)
    • Lean Processing , Six Sigma, ( Desirable )
    • Bachelor degree

  • SKILLS (IT knowledge, languages, communication..)
    • ICT literate (aviation specific software & MS Office)
    • Languages: English (professional level) – French (professional level
    • Ability to follow company procedures and processes (operational, quality, safety …)
    • Effective in learning new procedures and processes. Motivated to obtain the right experience and knowledge in helicopter maintenance planning
    • Exceptional communication and organization skills
