Job Description
  • Rescue Missions, recovery missions and operatiopnal support is part of your job. You will also fly for the ship pilot service.

  • The flying duty consists of search and rescue missions.
  • Responsible for the technical preparation of flights (i.e. route planning, fuel check and general inspection of the helicopter)
  • Make sure administration pre and post flight is filled in (ATL, Arion, Contactoffice, Mission reports, Calcultechlog,)
  • In case of any incidents or problems with the helicopter write a report at the end of the flight.
  • When landing on the ship, check whether there is no obstacle
  • Follow instructions of the HHO for positioning the helicopter just above the spot;
  • Winch safely on board off the ship
  • Rescuing NHV designated people out of the sea
  • Evacuate NHV designated people from ships/vessel.
  • Rescuing people during natural disasters and collaborating with other forces, such as the Coast Guard
  • When instruction is needed, liaise with Training department to perform SAR instruction flight.
  • Strictly obey the safety rules taking into account the constraints and possibilities of the helicopter and the presence of colleagues.
  • Ensure all safety systems are working properly
  • Apply environmental regulations
  • Know the NHV procedures and the Flight Operations Manual
  • Demonstrate a high degree of customer service awareness
  • Perform other "flying duties" as assigned.


Your Profile
EASA CPL(H) License
  • EASA Class 1 Medical
  • ATPL(H) theory and MCC certificate

  • Type rating: Preferably AS365 N2/N3
Total expected flight hours
  • minimum 2000 hours on rotary wing
  • 1000 hours as PIC
  • 500 hours Multi Engine
  • 200 hours SAR Experience as PIC or minimal 1000 hours as copilot in SAR/HEMS operations of which 500 hours as picus
  • 100 hours IFR ExperienceHHO Experience : 50 hoist cycles offshore of which 20 cycles at night
  • Languages:
    • English: proficiency level 4
    • Dutch speaking/understanding is mandatory
  • Good ICT-knowledge (specific aviation software & administrative programs)
  • Knows & Plays by the procedures installed by the company.
  • With regard to this type of operations: the ability to judge which of several objects appear closer or further away from the observer and estimate the distance between an object and the observer.
  • Flexible (e.g. for double crewing, standbby storm duties, a team player, result driven and customer focused
