Commercial Analyst


Job Description

The Commercial Analyst is part of the UK business unit and reports directly to the UK base managers


He/she gathers and analyses all information needed to support and steer the Commercial Office in order to assist the management in driving business growth.
He/she contributes to the maximization of the value of our customer portfolio and the development of our services by business development analysis and customer interaction.

The Commercial Analyst supports and provides input to the group Commercial department in order to deliver timely outstanding and attractive bids and tender documents.

RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN RESULT AREAS

MARKET RESEARCH – BUSINESS ANALYSIS

 Give the crucial inputs as per company requirements and your knowledge/visions to the financial department to make the best costing module;
 Understand the current market conditions: take into account our competitors’ performance and external regulatory developments;
 Compare data derived from the market in which NHV operates (external data) with data from company sources internal to the business (e.g. financial and operations data) (internal data). Translate this information into the weekly market update, which is the internal communication channel towards the Board, Director’s Committee and Centre Of Excellence.

This means:
o Assist with review of pricing and costing
o Measure business performance
o Analyze customer behavior and trends
o Analyze competitor strategy
o Identify competitor’s locations (capabilities & capacities), long range strategy, new markets, and growth trends
o Pro-active research on new to be developed areas
o Data mining
o Process data into information
o Design and build reports and analyses in MS Excel and PowerPoint
o Communicate on reports and analyses
o Prepare board communications

TENDER OFFICE & GENERAL COMMERCIAL OFFERS

 Act pro-actively in the search of new tenders and business opportunities
 Proof reading proposals to ensure that we are accurately reflecting the customer's and company requirements
 Provide effective communication on market and competition to the Board, Director’s Committee and Centers of Excellence
 Support the CoE and Base Managers in responding to Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposals (RFP) through creative business writing responses
 Coordinate with all bases and NHV Group affiliates regarding commercial offers and tenders, with respect for the de-centralized organizational structure of NHV
 Assist the bases in tender management
 Provide input for the Customer Relationship Management tool.

COMMUNICATION

 Prepare presentation material and make it eye-catching and of high quality
 Give support to the CCO regarding commercial management visits, preparation of board meetings and reporting, clarification meetings etc.

Your Profile

EXPERIENCE

 Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
 Desirable- bachelor degree in accounting, business management, commercial management, statistics, finance …
 Relevant experience in writing commercial documents.

SKILLS
 Languages: English
 Knowledge of the oil and gas and aviation industry desirable
 Like to tackle complex challenges
 Expert user of MS Office
 Excellent communication and presentation skills
 Project management and a financial background is a plus
 Strong in quantitative analysis
 Business Development experience desirable
 Agile and with a flexible mindset: exhibit flexibility in adapting to changing requirements and timelines, enjoy learning new aspects of the business
 Be proficient in managing multiple tasks within time constraints
 Open minded for and interested in foreign cultures and people: able to learn and understand from colleagues in other countries; able to communicate in a clear and efficient way with employees and customers and confident in dealing with other people in the business
 Able to work independently but in the meantime be an enjoyable team player for your colleagues.
