(NL) Manager Service & Contract Management


As Manager of the department Services & Contracts you lead a team of  commercial support engineers, service & contract managers and service development engineers in Oostzaan (+/- 15 FTE). You are part of the operational after sales team in Oostzaan and report to the Global director customer support. You’ll be focusing on daily operation of the department: personnel, services, monitoring KPI’s and are involved in service development and the company’s service strategy. The department quotes-, sells- and manages the execution of Meyn services. The team members are experienced, motivated and self-starting in their tasks. You monitor that service quotations and service orders are handled swiftly and correct by the team and that documents are made according to high department standards.

You will lead dedicated group of service development engineers. These specialists are responsible for asset management within Meyn; they keep our ‘Meyn installed base’ up to date and create generic- and customer specific maintenance plans for all Meyn OEM equipment.

Part of the role is to monitor the demand for (future) service products by using input from your internal -and external network and keep the service-portfolio up to date. You’ll support the service & contract managers with the sales process of complex maintenance agreements and occasionally join customer negotiations onsite.

  • Development and further professionalize the department
  • Meet the department KPI’s (department budget, sales)
  • Monitors work in progress, output and workload of the team members
  • Make sure the required level of knowledge/skills are available and initiate additional trainings
  • Signalizes market demands and -trends for services
  • Development new commercial services
  • Supports contract managers in Sales process

Degree:

Bachelor degree in engineering or comparable

List years of experience
  • > 5 years in technical (poultry) processing environment and or machine installation
  • > 5 years experience in service management and (team)leadership

Specific skill set:
  • Knowledge of Service contracts and Service Project management
  • Knowledge of Asset management (install base, maintenance concepts)
  • Natural leader (people manager) with good communication skills and a strong personality
  • Background in capital goods industry, system integration business and/or processing industry
  • Ideal candidate is familiar with (Meyn) Poultry processing  equipment
  • Commercial drive to identify- and harvest opportunities
  • Strong customer focus (‘service blood’)
  • Able to work independently
  • Building long term relations and networks, internal and external
  • Good communication skills. Fluent technical English, in written and verbal
  • Experience with ERP, CRM and EAM packages (like Infor LN, SalesForce and OnKey
