(US) CNC Set Up Operator


We are looking for a CNC Set Up Operator who can set-up and operate CNC machines, manual machines or related equipment.

Key responsibilities
  • Setup and operating CNC unit. Troubleshoot and correct set-up problems and have full knowledge of all tooling required.
  • Troubleshoot equipment; modify programming parameters to resolve programming problems.
  • Performs in-process inspections at first tool, evaluate and modify existing new programs.
  • Maintains product specifications by utilizing the appropriate inspection equipment as required.
  • Maintains and perform routine maintenance and lubrication as required.
  • Complete all job related documentation and shop floor data collection accurately.
  • Adhere to all aspects of the Quality Management System.
  • Observes all safety, quality and other company rules and regulations in the performance of duties
Education 
High School Diploma or graduation from certified technical school, preferred. 

List years of experience
2 + years prior CNC experience with ability to read drawings.

Specific skill set
  • Must demonstrate good mechanical aptitude and be able to carry out temporary, emergency repairs on complex machinery if the need arises;
  • Must be knowledgeable of tool­making techniques;
  • Must be able to read and interpret parts drawings and assembly drawings;
  • Must be knowledgeable of standard measuring techniques and machining limits and tolerances;
  • Problem-solving ability;
  • Ability to work Independent and systematically;
  • Proactive and flexible.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and be adaptable to a changing work environment as well.
  • Must be open to being exposed to noise, fumes and varying temperatures;
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions and must have strong finger dexterity and foot movement.
  • Basic math skills that include geometry and algebra to calculate material fabrication.
